A recent article discussed that the ability to adapt to the Earth’s diurnal cycle has contributed to human evolution. One example of adaptation to the Earth’s environment by humans is their ability to derive nutrition from Earth-derived foods and to extract materials from its resources for generating items for utilities and luxury.

The present article also emphasized that lifestyle plays a crucial role in human health and lifestyle-related disorders, such as obesity and deleterious habits like smoking and alcohol consumption leads to the development of inflammatory skin diseases.

Furthermore, dermatological disorders can be triggered by several other factors as well, like the intake of gluten or wheat protein and sleep disturbances – which drive the helper T (Th)1/Th2/Th17 immune response. On the other hand, introducing dietary fiber and omega-3 fatty acids benefits by regulating of the inflammatory cytokine production.

It was inferred that the knowledge of how lifestyle modification measures can modulate skin inflammation may contribute to devising newer treatments independent of drug usage. It was stated that further investigations are necessary to illustrate detailed molecular mechanisms of lifestyle-related inflammatory skin diseases and develop tools to identify problems associated with daily lifestyles in patients with inflammatory skin diseases.
